They represent what children are and will be,
They nurture and listen,
They are guides and stewards,
Children will have good and bad moments,
Life is about all of it,
These guides are the people who define a child,
The budding self-esteem,
The moral compass knowing right from wrong,
These people are a child’s biggest fan,
The reward for everyone is when the child becomes an adult,
The adult child has the rudder of life in place,
Knowing if they fall down as they have in the past,
They can get up, brush themselves off, and keep going,
These stewards of a young person's life are beacons of light for life.

Whether a mother, father, uncle, aunt, grandparents, teachers, counselors, neighbors or friends,
We each owe a bit of gratitude to these people.
